Serving where missions is forbidden
July 5, 2011
As a family of Alliance Churches we gather support for workers who proclaim the love of God in countries where it is forbidden to win people for Christ. It is humbling to read how grateful these ‘hero’s’ of the faith are for the encouragement they receive from our support. The following is an extract of a short message we just received from such a worker, whose country of residence we are not free to mention.
“Greetings to you, brothers and sisters from the AWF! I have recently found out that the support you promised us has been transferred to our account. We praise God that He provides for our ministry! I am grateful to you for your faithfulness to your promise and for your patient work with finances. Though the funds came with a significant delay, the Lord took care of everything and has supplied the needs of our family and ministry until now. I am glad that one day you invited us to serve in this country and encouraged us by deciding to support us. I hope that you will keep supporting us in the future. May the Lord fill all of us with His grace so that we will keep serving Him by bringing fruit for His kingdom. With brotherly love, Worker X”
