Worship in Hebrew and Arabic
October 12, 2011
What about a celebratory service in a Messianic Congregation in Abraham's residence Beer Sheva, where the worship service is led by a Palestinian pastor with songs in Hebrew and in Arabic? Moreover, a pastor from neighboring Jordan participates in the festivities, commemorating 100 years of Alliance work in the city. Pastor Yousef Hashweh, his wife and a sister are on their very first visit since their family fled from here in 1948.
The land of their parents was confiscated by the state of Israel. But on September 24, 2011, they celebrate with Jewish and Arab believers that it was here that their father was converted and became a pillar in the congregation, until 1948. Since then the family has been involved in Alliance Church planting in Jordan. It was a wonderful experience to celebrate God's faithfulness with Jews and gentiles. God is good and despite the many difficulties in the region, He will implement His plan of salvation with Israel and the nations. The picture show pastor Yousef expressing his gratefulness for receiving a special present to commemorate his fathers work in Beer Sheva.
